Straloch Estate

The owner of Straloch Estate commisioned me to photograph the family estate as a birthday surprise for his wife Lucy. The twist was that the first two visits, Winter & Spring, had to be done in secret and the images presented as a birthday 'present' in early summer, after which Lucy would accompany me for the Summer & Autumn shoots, both art-directing my work but also learning more about photography as we went along. The family were delighted with the images, which often revealed aspects they'd missed or become accustomed to with familiarity.
