The Woodland Trust

I undertake a lot of work for The Woodland Trust. The usual brief is to portray the wonders of woodlands, the cycles of the seasons, wildlife and recreational uses. Often the brief is to "be creative" and to evoke feelings of wonder, awe, surprise and enjoyment. The challenges of working with changeable weather and unpredictable light makes this a difficult but rewarding experience. I generally stay on-site in my vehicle to allow complete flexibility and allow access to the woodlands at all hours, often using long lenses, long exposures and auxiliary light from flashes and torches to create effects.
